Basis for this "trust", please?
If USCIS continues to under perform, as they have been doing always till now (reason why EB3 ROW has moved substantially), then EB3 India will temporarily move forward this July.
My gut feeling is that it may move to end of 2005, this is to enable DOS utilize as many VISA numbers as possible during the last quarter of the FY before the unused numbers goes down the drain.
This is what Ron Gotcher also has specified.

In that case I have to ask you this - what makes you think I am "imposing" (whatever THAT means) high standards on myself? Were you trying to shoot down my arguments by false accusations? I am maintaining the same "standard" as the next guy.
If you read my previous post with attention, you'll see that I have said I did not convey my intentions clearly. So again, if you're simply trying to shoot down what ever I am saying, well, I really can't stop you. You can keep going back to the same topic over and over again, but it will not prove your accusations!

Well after you enter the receipt notice, automated service gives you the information and then you can press the option that you did not find any info and then it will connect to a rep and tell him to open an SR

You might be right. Check the response senator got from USCIS on Aug 6th. I was later approved on Aug 16th.

In reviewing the August Visa Bulletin, it does appear that visas will be available after August 1st for these employment-based adjustment cases. In reviewing the electronic records, it does appear that the contractor has placed these cases in a location where they will be pulled and sent to an officer. We are unable to request the files be moved to an Adjudications Officer because our Records Division is running an electronic sweep to pull the files with available visas. Files will be pulled through this sweep and sent to an Officer. We are generally processing about 4000 employment-based cases a month and the cases with available visas are being pulled through these sweeps.

I have mentioned IV to a some Indians. They have no interest. Some of them are not bothered about retrogression. They exepect the GC to fall in their lap while they are sipping tea and eating samosa.
Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and our prayers are with you and your family.
But as suggested by IV members, please do consider a visit to india and take second opinion from the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, its one of the best cancer treament centre in the world.
US Healthcare system is for Profit, some medical facilities in US are exception, but if you see the overall Healthcare system it sucks and its all driven by insurance and big Pharmaceutical companies.
Please send me the private e-mail if you need any help in Mumbai to reach good doctor in Tata Memorial Hospital.

as a fellow human being my heart is full of sad by knowing your position. may god bless you and your family. as moderator (i think it was logiclife) said, you can not trust american doctors. go to a different country. if you are from india, i would suggest you to go to chennai / hyderabad and get checked. there may not be any cancer at all. you may be surprised with what miracles indian doctors can do. the survival of this dangerous illness is by staying positive about life. drugs will help, but having faith that you can overcome is very important. i pray for you and your family. ofcourse, when i pray daily the entire universe is added in my praryers. may god help all who needed help from him.

I totally agree on EB3 to EB2 porting but the PD should be the day he qualified as EB2 not the original date of EB3 which makes sense.
This way everyone is happy.
People who have done Masters (EB2) should get the GCs first. :) ...Relax dont give me a red for this. I already had enough.

Our 485/131/765 packet was mailed out on July 26th. We received all four Transfer Notices from CSC yesterday, stating that they transferred our cases to Nebraska as my I-140 was approved from LIN. Now waiting for the actual receipts to arrive from Nebraska.

This is exactly what I was saying. People are getting overzealous and are losing their balance. By attracting too much attention when everyone in power is being anti-immigrant you people will hurt everyone. They will impose some more restrictions on us.
We need to lay low for a while until economy improves and focus on keeping our jobs. That is the need of the hour rather than becoming a hero and trying to go against the wave.
One thing that everyne needs to understand is that before the lawmakers, etc., take a stand they study the issue.
Part of the study would be: Why is there so many Indians in the que?
What type of companies are sponsoring most greencards?
Rate of H-1b denials?
Rate of consulate denials?
How are people getting here?
What is the average wage of people being sponsored here?
if people are so skilled then why don't they go into extraordinary ability?
DOL investigations?
The list goes on and on of what the counter attacks are...
People can send out press releases, contact the senators, etc., but it is one way communication. Then other side waits and releases their information. Right now; other side is winning by large margin.
What is going on now with H-1b is direct result of quota completing so fast and it being studied with filed visits, audits. Conclusion was high rate of fraud; let's crack down.
Is everybody ready for this type of scrutiny? You may think you have done everything right but all it takes is for one case from your company sponsoring you or a company which you had h-1b in the past to get investigated and you take the fall along with many others.

You are turning a blind eye to his family, while also asking him to spend time with his family. You ask him to spend what he can on his treatment, while his insurance cover may go away if he quits his job and return to fiji/india.
There is no easy answer here.
But if he had his GC, he could spend all the time with his family, use his insurance cover at the same time, and not worry about his family going out of status.
He COULD try to expedite the GC, while also exploring other options.

Folks,
Its good to see this thread is still active. I just came home after 30 hrs non-stop work due to our product launch. I did go through quickly on all the posts after my post and I really didnt get the point I was looking for. I will respond to each of you tomorrow in one post.
The response I see for any type of campaign in the form of contributions is pathetic, based on the number of people waiting and those who are active. We will go nowhere, but this must change, and we will help.
I will now have to sleep for 5 hrs and then go back.
