I did not call them to get the RNs but I got the I-485 checks cashed for my wife and me.
The checks for I-485 for my daughter and the checks for AP and EAD were not cashed though.
But again, looks like, July 3rd 9:03 received by R. Williams, is no more a MIA case.
By the way the receipt date is marked as Oct 10th. Service center is NSC.

I and my wife have been SCREAMING, FIGHTING for over four years now. We are now so frustrated that we have EVEN DISCUSSED THINGS LIKE TAKING UP OUR LIVES !!! I really mean it. For both of us, our career is the single most important thing.
We had decided to wait for our next step in life like having a kid or putting in a big investment till we both at least have a job. Inspite of both of us having Masters degress from US universities, we are both suffering - me languishing in a filthy job and my wife on H4 - for the past 5 years !!! She is now more than 35 making it difficult to have kids etc...
I don't have the choice of going back to my home country due to many other personal reasons. I just don't know what to do... I am losing my sanity.

Nobody is opposing it..it should be based on years of exp in US..I applied mine in 2001 and got laid off and now I have a priority date of jan 2007..is that FAIR?
So you are laid off so what is the big deal? You should be able to negotiate somehow or escape layoffs by doing something or the other. There are people in my company who survived 6 layoffs. Your layoff is your problem and nothing is fair in the globalization.

This event cannot run based on MLM or false promises.
It can be successful only if every member understands their contribution and participation is key for this event and they are the one who can solve their immigration issue by taking this event seriously.

Because from my experinece you can't even talk to an IO in TSC.. You can only talk to a customer rep if your case is in TSC..
Unless ofcourse your meant IO was the same as a "customer rep" from National customer service.
IOs at TSC are responding to the enquiry of your case i.e they give info about name check status.
But in NSC the IOs are not giving any information, they are just saying they can't tell anything.This happened to me two times since last week.Does any one got same experience with NSC?

I'd suggest u guys take ur card magnetization talk onto another thread instead of making other current and still waiting ppl feel bad about the fact that they still dont have cards but here we have others talking about their plastic cards.
it is not to prevent 'de-magnetization' but to prevent rfid communication. All new passport and other govt id 'cards' ship with rfid chip in them which contains encrypted biometrics info. Since rfid info can be read even 10 meters away with right equipment, it is better to put it in a metallic sleeve (creating a Faraday cage) to prevent anyone from sniffing then biometrics info.

you got to make your decision dude, however, in my case, i would opt for W2. 1099 is a temporary thing... thats my opinion... you did not ask me specifically to share this, but hey, this is a public forum... :-)

I am not planning to open a company for this. If possible, I would rather work as an independent contractor on 1099. Now, after reading the last few posts, it looks like there are three things I need to worry about in case of a RFE -
1. Job should be bona fide (without going into the definition of the word).
My project is going to be with a large Bank through a big, wellknown consulting/outsourcing company. That should take care of the 'bonafide' part.
2. Should have similar/same job duties/responsibilities.
I am still waiting for the contract, however I can have my job duties/responsibilities listed out in my contract with the company. I am sure I can get a letter from the client too if it comes to that.
3. Job should be permanent - This is something I may not be able to prove. Since the project is short term, I am sure my contract will mention that. I am trying to convince the company to at least include "contract-to-hire" in the language of the contract. Since this project has potential of becoming long term, company is not averse to this idea.
Will having 'contract-to-hire' in the contract take care of this question (if a RFE comes).

My Wife's & my AP expires on 11/16/2008 and she is coming back to the States from India on Sep 9th 2008, I'm assuming her I94 would be only issued till 11/16/2008. We are then planning to apply for EAD/AP renewal , that is, after Sep 9th 2008 and my question is what is she doesn't get her renewed AP approved before 11/16/2007 (which again I'm assuming would be the date on I94 valifity) and would that make her out of status? I hope this helps

I got finger print notice on 6-16-07.
I never got receipt notice and I could not read the number in back of my check image. My attorney even did not get any receipt notice either:confused:
The finger print is scheduled for July 7th. I sent all app. to NCS on the June first and they transferred to TCS. PD of Sep 2003 and I-140 was approved 2005. I also apply for travel doc. and work permit but no receipt so far.:rolleyes:

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

I filed late June at NSC trs to Texas and received on July 2nd. Just received my RN yesterday for my 485. On line it says that my ead has been approved and the notice went out on the 25th.
Did your checks cashed before you got the receipts? or receipts much faster?? Congrats!
