Both and spouse and I received my receipts for our I-485, I-140, EAD, AP 09/19/07. On 09/24/07 we received fingerprint notice and on 09/27/07 we received our EAD card. I am quite surprise by how fast it came. Here are my details :
Priority Date: 10/15/04
Type: EB3
I-140/I-485: Concurrently filing at NSC. Receipt date 07/07/07
Checks cashed: 09/10/07
Receipts received: 09/19/07
Fingerprint appt: 10/09/07

pd2001_12...i can understand your pain. In a usual gregorian calendar date terms, my pd might be close.
But in USCIS Retrogression calendar terms, I might be millions of miles away from your priority date...:mad::(:confused:

I applied on July 23rd, and pkg was received on July 24th.
My checks got cashed yesterday, Sept 25th.
Not sure which center processed them yet... and no receipt numbers...

US employment based immigration system is merit based, not need based. The EB system is to keep US industry more competitive. if you were a hiring manager, you would give a Pakistani more preference than an Indian, just because Pakistan has less infrastructure than India?

For sure legal alternatives wont help. the country cap is to ensure equal opportunity for smaller countries which dont have enough infrastructure as large countries such as India/china. We cannot expect the country cap to be removed.

I am sure :), my wife's application was received on august 8th, 2008.
I am still confused as I haven't received receipt notice yet. I got receipt number from back of the checks on BOA website and I am sure they are correct too. (double checked)
Shouldn't we receive approval notice first? or in EAD it is "Card Production" only.
I am sure it is EAD card because it is under EAD case not in 485. I wish I see it under 485 case in September 2008.
I will keep you posted when we receive actual EAD card.

Here is my case. My lawyer sent the papers on July 5th. and the package were received at NSC by F HEINAUER. We're a family of 4.
I have a LUD on the approved I140 on 07/28/07 (TX).

Hi guys,
My first H1B (2003) had LUD on 14th of July...and today there is a LUD on I-140. My I-140 approved in March 2007..PD is March 2005...Is it good indication that they are doing something with my I-485 case? My application reached NSC on july 2nd (not sure about time as my lawyer sent those papers). My I-140 is from TSC.
Today i added my old H1B (2003) case to my portfolio..i saw LUD on it...LUD date is '14th july 2007'...not sure...14th july is saturday...but no surprise...i saw lot of people posted that their LUD was on weekends....Is it good indication? sorry if i am asking unnecessary question..

It high time that these guys get kicked on what ever, I have seen so many of my friends frustated due to non payment and get scarred to do anything against it..... I appreciate your courage , If they do bussiness and employ people they should legally pay, So many poeple come from India with kids and family and suffer so much when they are not getting paid on bench...I can only sympathise with their situation , Shame on such bussiness...BLOOD SUCKERS, MANIACS . I would say USCIS should create a law to punish these blood sucking monsters.
Training, H1b ...etc takes money ...so what he not stupid(desi employer) to do it for free , He makes altleast 10 times of what he spends in just 6 months when the candidate is on project.
I am sure I am going to get a lot of negative feedback for posting this in from ...so hiding desi employers

If OP gets into law suite and if it requires lots of money would you be willing to donate some money to fight law suite because it will not only help OP but it will scare such shameless employer that there people out there in community who are willing to help if they do something wrong with employees.

But many people do so even after knowing the facts about desi employers. Every thing has risks and rewards, and many people know risks but they get into it for rewards.
It seems that INS is very serious about holding back wages issue I think first thing people do is to file complaint with INS. See my previous post on this.

As far as I know this is a genuine company and not a typical small desi company.
Did you sign some paper saying that you will reimburse the GC costs if you leave the company? If it was signed before the GC process started then it is not against the law that the company is holding back the $4K. This is a big company and I don't think the $4k matters to them much.
As far as experience letter, they have to give it.
Also, sometimes we get mad at the company even though its our own mistake. So, before filling anything with the labor department, make sure you have not signed the papers. By reporting them you are basically giving trouble to others who are in GC process through them.
