I don't think its a good time to change jobs. There are many who are looking for a job after getting laid off. I think till the 2nd quarter of 2010 just keep your job. I may be wrong too.
the best thing is to keep a open eye all the time and whenever there is a opening in any big project with a good pay hike then move.
If you have EAD then you don't have to worry about H1B transfer.
If you like, Join the "job networking on IV" google group and you wouls find many members with your similar skillset.

Can anyone advise me on a good employer.I heard that Pyramid Consulting is one big vendor in atlanta..Any inputs about Pyramid is greatly appreciated..Or any other good vendors in atlanta area?

Like your thoughts on these topic... pardon me for my ignorance but whats the big deal about Name Check? will this take longer than the rest of the processing stages?
According to USCIS Ombudsman 1/3rd of cases are pending more than 1 year due to namecheck. Also there are many cases stuck for more than 3 years. E

PD is important . inorder to use the visa numbers the applicant whose FP & name check is cleared but Pd is not current but other applicant whose Pd is current but name check is not cleared The person who cleared will get the priority instead of PD . one of my friend got like this . so its cat & mouse game anyone can get it

I went to PennDOT to renew my PA Driver license and they took all my pepers. Offcer informed me that he cannot get verification for my Immigration status so he can not renew my License.
They gave me a printed peper which says we will informed you by letter within 21 dyas.

nope. My own manager in my previous company got his GC done in EB1. He is not a VP or anything, just a project manager! Some reports here, some in the india office + a nice case prepared by a top lawfirm and you can be all set.
