Lets not despair about lack of support from other organizations. We have 10K+ members now. We are gaining momentum. It won't be long before these organization come to us for support. Given the presidential election looming on the horizon, maybe some of the candidates will need endorsement from us, maybe not, who knows. Lets use this time to meet the lawmakers and educate them about our issues.
I recently called a Senate office and told them about my support for the STRIVE bill in the House and to seek their support for a similar bill in Senate. I would say, if the intent to migrate is for GC, then the best option is come here as Nurse, as a schedule A worker.
They do get the GC very fast.I know one of my frnd who did this.
He came here to study MBA, then converted to Schedule A nursing job by writing few exams and wait for GC , once you get it then you can do what ever it takes to become a complete practicing doctor in US.
I do not know if any other details apart from this.

H1 doesn't get invalidated on a 485 rejection, even if it was approved beyond 6 year based on the pending 485. You just may not be eligible for another extension.
well, USCIS issues EADs based on filed appeals/MTRs, so H1B is not the only solution.

Mine was an e-filing. However my FP scheduling was quite weird.
I had my FP scheduled for 11/13
but my Card Production was Ordered on 11/12
I still went ahead and gave my FP on 11/13.

I hope it doesn't affect Employee (original labor) who have left GC employer using AC-21 with approved I-140 and after 180 days.
This interpretation is game changer for life of many EB immigrants. It should be implemented for going forward but at least should not affect those who used it by the interpretation of that time.

I don't get what caused the sudden spike in the Master's quota. Earlier it used to be open for at least 15 days... Can it be because of increase in number of international students or people loosing in previous year lotteries going for Masters??? I seriously believe that H1B visa program needs reform - a valid job offer (read project for consultancies) must be necessary for applying AND a joining date within 2 months of starting FY. This is true madness going on.

This idea was floated a few years back, but then we did not have the win of a flower campaign behind us.
We now have a senator to focus our energies on - Dick Durbin.
How about everybody with a US degree send a copy of the diploma in a packet to Sen Durbin with a message - Dont hold us hostage because of a few bad apples..something to that nature?
Alternatively we can send it to Sen Obama asking him to please let the senior senator from illinois, sen Durbin, know we are high skilled immigrants - dont hold us hostage because of a few bad apples.
maybe we can send an apple too :D

When the media hears about another flower campaign, they'll know something big is up and that the person getting the flowers is being targeted for an important reason.

I was in the same situation as you when I applied. In general, there should not be a problem with MS+0.
Another alternative is to show the experience gained at your current employer in your application. For that to happen, you should've been promoted to a position in which ur exprience is 50% same as your old position, then you can get an affidavit from your manager stating this fact.
This is what we had done for my traditional labor. I believe it still holds true for PERM, suggest you talk to the company's lawyer.
I am in great need of some suggestions. I hold a MS degree in computer science and graduate in 2004 dec. Since then I have been with the same employer.
Now that he is filing for my LC. Is it difficult to get through with MS+0yrs of expereince ?
Also, at this point of time i have found other employers who is willing to do my GC in which case I will have MS+2 yrs of expereince.
Is it worth changing employer for gaining 2 yrs of expereince for my LC.
Does this really make my case more stronger ? or I am just OVER REACTING ? and doing unneccessary thing
