I got my PCC in San Francisco Indian Consulate last year assuming that I might get the appointment. but never happened until now. I am not sure that is still valid PCC. I might have to go to India and then apply for a new one from the local police station.
Is it not much easier to get the PCC renewed (basically a new PCC from here)?

She should go on h4. If she wants her ead she can file once you get AOS receipt No. unless u alreaqy filed for it. If u already filed for her ead you should still wait for her to quit her h1 job till the ead comes through.

PD is important . inorder to use the visa numbers the applicant whose FP & name check is cleared but Pd is not current but other applicant whose Pd is current but name check is not cleared The person who cleared will get the priority instead of PD . one of my friend got like this . so its cat & mouse game anyone can get it

As long as you have approved and active I-140 (from ANY employer) and the PD is not current, one can get 3 year H1 extension. IF the PD is current, one can get only 1 year of H1 extension.
The term of such extension is always from the date of approval. For example, it would be July 2007 to July 2010 even if current H1 expires in, say, Oct 2008.

Also if you did ,did the POE officer issue you a new I 94 when you re entered US??
I am asking because i have heard different verisons when u visit canada
Please let me know ,we might be planning a trip to Canada soon
and our H1 stamp is expired so we might go for stamping.

Hello,
I think you are fine to do day trading on any visa type.
Just because you conduct multiple transactions per day does not legally imply that you are paying any less attention to your regular job.
If you are called for an AOS interview, a curious IO may ask how did you manage both, but you can always show that you did your job well by providing copies of your performance evaluations and/or letters from your supervisors/HR.
In summary, good luck w day trading! Do donate part of the profits to IV... :)

From what I understand, the annual quota is 140K. The extra 23K was the spillover from last year's FB quota and was distributed in the following order - EB1->EB2->EB3.
Perhaps unfairly, they do not have the same quotas for the spillover visas.
Does anybody know why EB3 Total number (45,650) doesn't translate into 28% of annual quota (163,037). Does it mean EB3 didn't get their fair share (forget about per country limit)? This is insane.

US experience won't count much unless you are from fortune 500 company. These days anyone even with Aptech certificate can get a chance to come and work in USA on L visa for short assignments. So if your experience is in a desi consulting firm, I do not think your resume will be attractive.
The figures shown are all looking good for experienced people in good companies. But it is not easy to get jobs as senior people in top companies. Also remember you have to work much more than you work here. You also have to work on Saturdays in a lot of companies. If your clients are in USA you may also need work in the night too to interact with your people in USA. Also remember in small companies you rarely get to do cutting edge world class work or new idea or planning. You will hardly learn or get special trainings.

I went to PennDOT to renew my PA Driver license and they took all my pepers. Offcer informed me that he cannot get verification for my Immigration status so he can not renew my License.
They gave me a printed peper which says we will informed you by letter within 21 dyas.

guys, do u see any issues/problems on Landing Canada while pending 485 and coming back on AP.
I have my valid H1b renewed but visa expired on my passport and my spouse has valid AP. I heard that there is a problem on US immigration process if you have Canadian PR during your 485 pending?? IS anybody gone thourgh in this situation???

What if H1-B extension is for last 3 years of total 6 years? It means,my first 3 years are ending in nov 07, and if I file 485, will I get 3 years of extension or 1 yr extension?

A. Can USCIS revoke extended period ( after Jan 29, 2011) if current company(A) revokes their approved I-140 before new company(B) gets approval of new PERM and I-140?
Rajeev >> USCIS can but they have not done this till today ( as per history in Rajeev's database).
B. Can new company (B) start new PERM application during my extension period (after Jan 29, 2011)?
Rajeev >> YES, they can. It is recommended to start before start of 7th year but not MUST.
